UEG

United European Gastroenterology (UEG), founded in 1992 and based in Vienna, is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in digestive health in Europe and beyond. Its mission is to improve the prevention and treatment of digestive diseases through high-level educational programs, support for research, and the advancement of clinical standards.

UEG brings together more than 50,000 professionals from national and specialist societies, digestive health experts, and researchers from various disciplines and career stages. Over 30,000 digestive health professionals worldwide are part of the UEG Community as UEG Associates and UEG Young Associates, benefiting from a global network and numerous free training resources.

UEG’s range of activities includes the annual UEG Week congress, training experiences both online and in person, research support programs, a scientific journal, and various opportunities in the form of scholarships and funding. The organization produces guidelines, standards, and quality improvement initiatives, and carries out advocacy work at the European level to ensure sustained resources for digestive health research, working closely with patient associations.

SIGE is an ordinary member of UEG.

UEG

La United European Gastroenterology (UEG), fondata nel 1992 e con sede a Vienna, è la principale organizzazione non profit dedicata alla promozione dell’eccellenza nella salute digestiva in Europa e oltre. La sua missione è migliorare la prevenzione e la cura delle malattie dell’apparato digerente attraverso programmi educativi di alto livello, il sostegno alla ricerca e l’avanzamento degli standard clinici.

UEG riunisce oltre 50.000 professionisti provenienti da società nazionali e specialistiche, esperti di salute digestiva e ricercatori di diverse discipline e livelli di carriera. Più di 30.000 professionisti della salute digestiva nel mondo fanno parte della UEG Community, come UEG Associates e UEG Young Associates, beneficiando di una rete globale e di numerose risorse formative gratuite.

L’offerta UEG comprende il congresso annuale UEG Week, esperienze formative sia online sia in presenza, programmi di supporto alla ricerca, una rivista scientifica e varie opportunità sotto forma di borse di studio e finanziamenti. L’organizzazione produce linee guida, standard e iniziative per il miglioramento della qualità, e svolge attività di advocacy a livello europeo per garantire risorse costanti destinate alla ricerca sulla salute digestiva, collaborando strettamente con le associazioni dei pazienti.
