Single Auditor or Board of Auditors

The oversight of the Association’s financial and accounting management may be entrusted to a Single Auditor or to a Board of Auditors. The Single Auditor, to be selected from among individuals registered in the Register of Statutory Auditors, is appointed by the General Assembly, holds office for four years, and may be reappointed. The Board of Auditors consists of three members, one of whom must be selected from among individuals registered in the Register of Statutory Auditors and two from among ordinary members, provided they are in good standing with the payment of membership fees. The member registered in the Register of Statutory Auditors serves as Chair of the Board. The members of the Board of Auditors are appointed by the General Assembly, hold office for four years, and may be reappointed. The supervisory body oversees the economic and financial management of the Association, verifies the proper maintenance of accounting records, carries out cash audits, and examines proposals for the annual financial statements. At the end of each year, it submits a written report to the General Assembly regarding the activities carried out and its observations on the annual financial statements. At present, SIGE has entrusted this role to a Single Auditor.

Board of Arbitrators (Probiviri)

The Board of Arbitrators consists of three members, elected by the General Assembly from among the members, who hold office for four years and are eligible for re-election.

The Board of Arbitrators is entrusted by the Executive Board with the examination and adjudication of any acts or conduct that may be detrimental to the dignity of the Association, its governing bodies, its internal institutions, and individual members, committed by one or more members.

At the conclusion of the proceedings, the Board of Arbitrators may propose, without any binding obligation on the competent body, the following sanctions: reprimand, suspension, and expulsion. The reprimand is the responsibility of the President, and suspension is the responsibility of the Executive Board. Expulsion must be submitted to and approved by the General Assembly.

Revisore unico o Collegio dei revisori

Il controllo sulla gestione finanziaria e contabile della Associazione può essere affidato a un Revisore unico oppure a un Collegio dei Revisori. Il Revisore unico, da scegliere tra le persone iscritte nell'elenco dei Revisori Legali, è nominato dall’Assemblea, dura in carica quattro anni e può essere confermato. Il Collegio dei Revisori è composto da tre membri, di cui uno da scegliere tra le persone iscritte nell'elenco dei Revisori Legali e due tra i soci ordinari, purché in regola con il pagamento dei contributi associativi. Il membro iscritto nell'elenco dei Revisori Legali assume le funzioni di Presidente del Collegio. I membri del Collegio dei Revisori sono nominati dall’Assemblea, durano in carica quattro anni e possono essere confermati. L’organo di controllo vigila sulla gestione economica e finanziaria della Associazione, accerta la regolare tenuta delle scritture contabili, effettua le verifiche di cassa, esamina le proposte di bilancio consuntivo. Al termine di ogni anno presenta una relazione scritta all’Assemblea, in ordine all’attività svolta e alle osservazioni in merito al bilancio consuntivo. Attualmente la SIGE ha affidato l’incarico a un Revisore Unico.

Probiviri

Il Collegio dei Probiviri è composto di tre membri, eletti dall’Assemblea nell’ambito dei soci, durano in carica quattro anni e sono rieleggibili.

Ai Probiviri è demandato dal Consiglio Direttivo l’esame e il giudizio di eventuali atti e comportamenti lesivi della dignità della Associazione, dei suoi organi, delle sue istituzioni interne e dei singoli soci, compiuti da uno o più soci.

Al termine del giudizio, i Probiviri possono proporre, senza alcun obbligo a carico dell’organo competente, le seguenti sanzioni: censura, sospensione ed esclusione. La censura compete al Presidente e la sospensione compete al Consiglio Direttivo. L’esclusione deve essere sottoposta all’Assemblea e da questa approvata.
